We encourage students to use their creativity, arts, and design to address a social cause given by a local NGO.

ABOUT

The Better Internet Campaign is all about gathering like-minded people to create a safer, better internet for everyone. Based on four core values of Empathy, Respect, Responsibility and Integrity, the Better Internet Campaign raises awareness of cyber wellness issues that affect all of us and encourages internet users to unite and play their part in creating a safer, better internet for everyone.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Create awareness to advocate for the Better Internet Campaign focusing on the 3 values:

  • Be Kind

  • Be Smart

  • Be Safe

CREATIVE OBJECTIVES

Create awareness of the better use of the internet and promoting the values of Be Kind, Be Smart and Be Safe through public education.

DESIRED AUDIENCE RESPONSE

The audience needs to take action and implement the advice given to use the internet better.

DELIVERABLES

To design and craft a communicative poster using one of the following methods:

  1. Digital (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  2. Poster Colour Collage

  3. Marker Rendering

  4. Wood Burning

  5. Water Colouring

  6. Pencil Colouring

Submission can be done digital and physical.

Physical Submissions: A3-size Poster (297mm x 420mm) mounted on an A2-size mounting board.

Digital Submissions: File to be named "NAME OF STUDENT – SCHOOL" on jpg or pdf, and send via email.

JUDGING CRITERIA
  • Meeting Creative Objective: 40%

  • Creativity: 40%

  • Craftsmanship: 20%

Winners Internship

  • Students are encouraged to submit on an individual basis or team of 3 (maximum).

  • There is no fee required for registration and participation in the competition.

  • Please print the submission label at http://bit.ly/dfgform and submit (with all required fields completed) together with your deliverable before or by the deadline.

  • Finalists will be invited to the Winner Workshops – Changemaker Event.

  • Category Winners (Best Craftmanship, Most Creative, Best Work) will receive a trophy and will get 1-week internship/learning programme at the award-winning social enterprise, Make The Change, to learn how to bring their ideas into real implementation by the NGO.
