Using Technology to Create Impact

The New Media Youth Competition is an innovative platform that challenges young participants to showcase their creativity, skills, and ideas within new media.

This competition often spans various digital mediums, including social media, digital art, video production, and interactive technologies.

The goal is to foster creativity, digital literacy, and collaboration among young individuals while providing a platform to showcase their talents to do good and contribute to the evolving world of new media.

The competition is open to:

Category 1 - Primary Schools

Category 2 - Secondary Schools

Category 3 - JCs, ITE and Polytechnics

How to join

1. Select a Social Cause or Sustainable Development Goal you want to support

You can select one cause you identify with and want to help create awareness of.

2. Create content using New Media

Use new media (video, podcast, or digital marketing) to create awareness of that social cause.

You can submit entries on the following Categories.

Video Category

Entry Requirements

Produce a 1 - 2 min original video promoting the social cause you support.
The video needs to be saved and uploaded as .mov

Digital Marketing Category

Entry Requirements

Create a digital marketing campaign on social media to promote a social cause.
The social media account should have at least 15 posts and interact with followers.
