Internship Experience - Anderson Serangoon Junior College

Across two internship periods (11 to 18 November and 19 to 28 November 2025), eight students from Anderson Serangoon Junior College joined Make The Change as part of their Industry Attachment (IA) programme.
To start off, they were paired with interns from different schools to examine challenges faced by different communities. By considering what these communities might say, see, hear, think and feel, the students learnt to develop solutions based on people's actual experiences and needs.
They also contributed to projects connected to Make The Change's ongoing work. Depending on their assigned tasks, the students created publicity materials, wrote articles, researched workshop opportunities.
Creativity and digital storytelling were also central to the experience. Alongside their tasks, they attended one of our public workshops on podcast. The students explored how conversations could be structured, giving them a new way to think about communication and content creation.
Across both batches, the students developed practical skills in research, writing, design and teamwork.

Every positive change begins with someone willing to understand a challenge, and courageous enough to take the first step towards addressing it!
