Understanding Social Entrepreneurship

This workshop will provide participants with an introduction to social innovation, a process of developing new solutions to social problems. Social innovations can be new products, services, or business models that address social needs in a sustainable way.
The workshop will be interactive and engaging, using a variety of activities and exercises to help participants learn and apply the information. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their own experiences and learn from others.
The workshop will cover the following topics:

What are the challenges and opportunities of social innovation?

Participants will be introduced to the various types of social enterprises, case studies on innovative ways to solve social problems, measuring social impact, different ways to get funding and more about being an entrepreneur of a social enterprise.
