Three students from Temasek Junior College joined Make The Change (MTC) under the Young Changemaker Programme. Over the course of their time with us, they immersed themselves in hands-on social innovation work, contributing fresh ideas and practical solutions that helped bring our Youth For Change Final Showcase to life.
Highlights of Their Internship
Sticker Design for the Final Showcase: The trio designed four unique sticker motifs that captured the spirit of Youth For Change. From vibrant colours to motivational slogans, their finalised designs were a hit among participants and visitors alike.

Vendor Sourcing and Logistics: They researched and secured reliable vendors for both printing and food catering. Upon receiving multiple quotes, they assessed accordingly, ensuring that the best quality and value for the showcase.
Workshop Participation and Innovation: Based on the insights from the Social Innovation Workshop they attended, they identified critical gaps, focusing on Financial Literacy:
Curriculum Gaps: Financial literacy is often absent from school programmes, leaving students unprepared for money management
Digital Overload: Youths are exposed to financial services via apps but lack the understanding of such concepts
High Scam Vulnerability: A lack of fraud-prevention awareness makes youths easy targets for online scams
Visit to Muscular Dystrophy Association Singapore (MDAS): One of our interns, Yiwei, joined us to attend a meeting with MDAS. She met some of the passionate individuals working behind the scenes and was deeply inspired by their dedication. It left a lasting impression and deepened her appreciation in creating social impact.
A Special Visit and Heartfelt Thanks

On the last day of our Youth For Change Final Showcase, we were delighted to welcome one of our TJC interns, Yiwei, back to the event. Her presence reminded us of the journey we’ve taken together, and we’re especially grateful for her support throughout the design process.
