This January, we had the pleasure of welcoming Aarya from Temasek Secondary School for a two-week internship under Make The Change's Young Changemaker Programme. Throughout his time with us, Aarya gained hands-on experience in social impact initiatives while also contributing meaningfully to our projects. He brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong work ethic — diving into hands-on social impact projects while developing key digital and technical skills.
Aarya kicked off his internship by contributing to our Digital Arts For All (DAFA) programme, where he designed thoughtful thank-you cards. This activity challenged him to merge creative design with meaningful messaging, ensuring every card resonated with its recipients. Through this process, Aarya gained a deeper appreciation for how simple, intentional gestures can spread kindness and positivity within the community.
Looking to explore new digital frontiers, Aarya also learned how to navigate AR Makr — an interactive tool used to build augmented reality content. Working alongside fellow interns, Gracia and Zachary, Aarya applied his new skills to film and produce an interactive video on Singapore's Founding Fathers, tailored specifically for primary school students. From adapting content for younger audiences to mastering AR technology, Aarya demonstrated how digital tools can make educational storytelling both immersive and accessible.

Aarya’s Reflection
“I really enjoyed my time here at MTC. The whole team was welcoming and patient, taking the time to teach us new things. Although I missed a day due to O-level results collection, Nabilah was understanding and allowed me to work from home. Overall, I highly enjoyed my experience here and would definitely recommend it to my friends.”
Aarya's journey at MTC highlights how young minds can combine technology, empathy, and creativity to create meaningful impact. We are proud of his growth over these two weeks, and we have no doubt that he will continue to apply his skillsets and valuable insights to drive positive change in his community and beyond!
