Last December, we were thrilled to welcome Brielle from Bukit View Secondary School and Reese from Nan Hua High School, joining us under our Young Changemaker Programme. Across their internship, both Brielle and Reese embodied the true spirit of a changemaker — bringing a strong passion for change, an innovative mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn. This was also a special milestone for Reese, who returned to Make The Change for her second internship after her first initial stint in November.
The interns kicked off their journey with an inspiring creative workshop at the Marina Bay Sands Apple Store. Diving into tools like Procreate and Freeform on Apple iPads, they learned how to transform abstract ideas into vibrant digital artworks — expanding their visual storytelling and creative designing capabilities. Beyond digital skills, Brielle and Reese attended The Nutcracker Production by Project ARIZE Dance, alongside with their fellow interns who were in the Young Changemaker Programme. Immersing themselves in the performing arts gave them a newfound appreciation for backstage teamwork, production scale, and creative coordination required for live performances. This experience also served as a meaningful opportunity for Brielle and Reese to bond and connect with their peers at Make The Change.

Putting their operational skills to work, the duo stepped up to support two major initiatives at Make The Change: Brielle took charge of updating and maintaining our databases for our partnered schools. Documenting past collaborations and programme histories required meticulous organization and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all the information entered is accurate and up to date. Not only that Brielle develop greatly on her administrative skillsets, but also contributed and supported our team's operational efficiency.
Additionally, Reese and Brielle together helped structured and coordinated one of our flagship initiative — Apple New Media Programme, which equips students with essential digital media skills through the use of Apple Technologies and Tools such as iMovie and Procreate. By organizing participating schools into strategic batches, they streamlined comprehensive schedules for our trainers. Both of them gained practical exposure to event coordination, logistics management, and workflow planning.

Brielle’s Final Reflection
“I am grateful for the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of activities and tasks that I would not usually encounter on a daily basis, as well as for the chance to meet people from diverse backgrounds.”
Reese’s Final Reflection
“Interning from 2025-2026 was especially enriching and enjoyable as I bonded closely with my batch-mates. I was also given more heavy tasks which helped me learn about the importance of taking responsibility for my tasks and putting in consistent effort into completing them.”
Brielle and Reese's time with us demonstrated how passion and dedication can turn every opportunity into a step forward. We are incredibly proud of their contributions and growth, and we look forward to seeing how they continue to drive positive change in their future endeavors!
