A Secondary 1 student, Wei Xin, from School of Science and Technology, embarked on his first internship with Make The Change. Over the month-long internship, Wei Xin had the chance to pick up new skills, meet new people, and gain a better understanding of social issues.
Workshops Participated

Wei Xin also attended Today at Apple: Drawing with Apple Pencil on iPad Workshop at Jewel Changi Airport, where he familiarise himself with the drawing tools, brush effects and colours. This experience gave him practical teaching skills and boosted his confidence in helping others, especially in a hands-on learning environment. This skill was later on applied where he was at the Digital Arts For All (DAFA) workshop for seniors.

During the Digital Arts For All (DAFA) workshop at JiaYou, Wei Xin worked closely with the seniors to teach them on Digital Drawing using Procreate using iPad. For him, it wasn’t just about sharing technical knowledge—it was also a meaningful opportunity to connect with people from a different generation.

Another key part of his internship was the Youth For Change (YFC) programme. Through YFC, Wei Xin was introduced to the world of social enterprises and social innovation, topics that were entirely new to him. The program challenged him to work with people outside his usual circle of friends from school. He also shared how teamwork can lead to meaningful solutions.
